Import your deck from a screenshot

Paste or upload a screenshot of your in-game deck and the builder reads it for you. Under the hood it uses Claude Vision to extract the card names, fuzzy-matches them against the STS2 card database, auto-detects which character you’re playing, and preserves upgraded (+) status where it’s visible in the screenshot. You land in the builder with your real deck already loaded — then iterate from there with live synergy analysis and card recommendations.

Works on any character — Ironclad, Silent, Defect, Necrobinder, Regent

Click Import Screenshot in the builder above to try it.

How the STS2 Deck Builder works

1

Start from a screenshot (optional)

Already mid-run? Upload a deck screenshot and the AI importer fills the builder with your actual deck — character auto-detected, upgraded (+) marks preserved. Or skip this and start from scratch below.

2

Pick a character

Choose Ironclad, Silent, Defect, Necrobinder, or Regent. The card pool filters to cards that character can draft, plus colourless neutrals.

3

Add cards and watch the analysis

Click any card to add it. Filter by type, cost, rarity; mark upgrades with the + button. The analysis panel detects your archetype, shows your cost curve, and flags enabler/payoff imbalances in real time.

4

Use the Best Picks panel

The recommendation engine scores every eligible card against your current deck — synergy matches, type gaps, curve fit, and relic interactions. Expand any pick to see exactly why it scored high.

What the analysis actually measures

Archetype detection

Archetypes are detected from the synergy tags on the cards you’ve added. Confidence rises with tag depth, required-tag coverage, supporting-tag presence, and type bias (for example, Strength Engine expects mostly Attack cards). A deck can start “Versatile” at low confidence and sharpen as you commit to a strategy.

Enablers vs payoffs

Each synergy tag distinguishes cards that produce an effect (enablers, ) from cards that benefit from it (payoffs, ). The analysis flags imbalance — for example, three cards that grant Strength but nothing to spend it on — so you can fix the gap before the run falls apart.

Cost curve & card types

The curve shows how many 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5+ energy cards you’re running, along with Attack/Skill/Power counts and average energy cost. High curve + no energy generation is one of the weakness flags.

Relic-aware recommendations

Add your relics under the Relics panel and the recommendation scores update — a candidate card that benefits from a tag one of your relics already produces gets a boost. Same goes for cards that reinforce a relic-driven strategy.

See the full synergy tag list on the synergies page, or pick per-character advice from the tier lists.

Frequently asked questions

Is the deck builder free?

Yes. Building, analysing, and sharing a deck link is free and needs no account. You only need a free account if you want to save a deck to your profile or publish it to the public Community Decks page.

Do I need an account?

Not to build. Click a character, add cards, and the analysis runs in your browser. The "Save & Share" button opens a login prompt because saved decks are tied to a user profile. A shareable URL (no save needed) is available from the Share button.

Which characters does the builder support?

All five STS2 characters: Ironclad, Silent, Defect, Necrobinder, and Regent. Each character pulls from its own card pool plus the colourless neutrals. Curses and Status cards are excluded from the draftable pool.

Is the card data up to date with the current patch?

The card database syncs from the Spire Codex API daily at 06:00 UTC. Card text, costs, rarity, and keywords reflect the current Early Access patch. Archetype definitions are reviewed when patches change core mechanics.

How are the card recommendations scored?

Each candidate card is scored against every card already in your deck. Producer-to-consumer synergy matches score highest (e.g. a card that grants Strength paired with a multi-hit attack). Secondary bonuses: adding a new keyword the deck lacks, filling type gaps (no block, no draw, no AoE), and fitting the energy curve. Redundant picks are penalised. Expand a recommendation to see the exact reasons.

Can I import a deck I already built in-game?

Yes — this is one of the things you can only do here. Click "Import Screenshot" in the builder and drop in a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF of your in-game deck (up to 10MB). The importer uses Claude Vision to read the card names, fuzzy-matches them against the STS2 card database, auto-detects which character the deck belongs to, and preserves upgraded (+) status where it’s visible in the screenshot. You get a review step before anything lands in the builder, so you can fix any fuzzy match or upgrade toggle before accepting. Rate-limited to 5 imports per minute per IP.

Can I edit a deck I saved earlier?

Yes. Open the deck from the Community Decks page or your profile and click "Open in Draft Assistant" — you can add, remove, or upgrade cards and then hit Update.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The layout stacks on narrow screens. The analysis panel collapses so you can focus on the card pool, and you can expand it when you want to read the assessment.
