Key Mechanic: Chains of Binding / Afflictions
The Queen applies Chains of Binding to your cards, adding the Bound debuff to the first 3 cards you draw. Bound cards restrict you — you can only play one of the three that turn. She also applies 99 Frail, Weak, and Vulnerable in a single turn.
Attack Pattern
Turn 1: Chains of Binding. Turn 2: Strategic (99 Frail/Weak/Vulnerable). Turn 3: Empower Amalgam + self-Block. Then the Amalgam attacks with buffed Strength, cycling escalation.
Chains of Binding
Applies Bound to your first 3 drawn cards — only one of the three can be played.
Strategic
Applies 99 stacks of Frail, Weak, and Vulnerable — effectively permanent debuffs.
Empower Amalgam
Buffs the Amalgam's Strength and gains Block herself.
Amalgam Attack
The Torch Head Amalgam attacks with damage that scales with its Strength buffs.
How to Beat Queen
Control or kill the Amalgam first — its damage scales quickly with the Queen's Strength buffs. Debuff removal or Artifact charges are extremely valuable against the 99-stack debuffs. Cards that don't rely on damage (Poison, Doom, direct HP loss) bypass the Weak debuff. The Bound mechanic forces you to plan which 1 of 3 cards to play — deck manipulation helps.
Deal with the Amalgam's damage before focusing the Queen
Artifact charges can block the devastating 99-stack debuffs
Poison and direct HP loss bypass the Weak debuff entirely
The Bound mechanic means card draw order matters more than usual
